Viime vuoden Taiteiden yössä suurta suosiota saavuttanut, yhden illan mittainen GAZE-näyttelykonsepti toteutuu XL Art Spacessa myös tulevassa Taiteiden yössä 2012!

Tällä kertaa esillä on kahden Yhdysvalloissa työskentelevän taiteilijan, Asger Carlsenin ja Travess Smalleyn, teoksia. Teosten abstrakteissa, mutta osin tunnistettavissa muodostelmissa on jotain häijyä ja samanaikaisesti herkullista. Muodonmuutokset ja vinoumat yhdistävät taidetilan seinille heijastettavia teoksia.

Indian Summerin puolella esiintyy kovassa nosteessa oleva, vastustamatonta iskelmää veivaava Shotgun Club. Showtime 17:00, älä missaa!

GAZE on yhden illan kestoisten näyttelyiden sarja, joka paneutuu katsomisen tematiikkaan. Näyttelysarjaa kuratoi Ilari Laamanen.

After last year’s success, the one-night-only exhibition concept GAZE returns for the forthcoming Night of the Arts 2012 in Helsinki!

In this edition GAZE presents works from two artists currently based in the United States, Asger Carlsen and Travess Smalley. Partly abstract, partly recognizable, their images come across both delicious and nasty. Transformations and biases form the red line between the works which will be projected onto the walls of the art space.

In addition to the exhibition, the hyped schlager wonder Shotgun Club will perform in the same premises, on Indian Summer store’s side. Showtime 17:00 – not to be missed!
